I just wanted to thank you Debra for your professional and friendly treatment. When I came to you with a large verruca which was making walking painful you offered different treatments and ensured that the right one was found.
When I first visited Debra in 2014 I was experiencing significant achilles tendon pain following running and this was severly impacting my ability to train. On the morning following a run, it would take about 30 mins of hobbling about before I was able to walk up straight and for the pain to almost subside. Throughout the day my achilles would be tender to touch and pain relief creams were of little use.
Our feet are not always our best assets, yet they are so important! At this time of the year with warm weather and sandals it is essential that our feet look good and are properly cared for.
I went along to see Debra at Merriefield Podiatry to see just what she could do with my sad looking feet that have been well wrapped up in shoes for many months.
Debra is well trained having started her career as a nurse but then changed to study for a degree in Podiatry at Southampton University. She is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. I knew I was in good hands!
Debra examined my feet first. If you have any pain or problems with your feet she can certainly advise the best solutions. There are also preventative measures of course, and avoiding high heels is a good idea... but at 5’ 1” and a peanut, I am not very good at that!
Two years ago all my nails on both feet were affected with a fungal infection, I had tried various ‘over the counter’ remedies but none seemed to work. I made an appointment with Debra who suggested topical treatment would not be effective and recommended I should discuss with my GP whether oral anti-fungal medication would be appropriate.
